Before I decided to take photography courses at Fullerton College, I was shooting only to help my girlfriend with some photos for her modeling portfolio. Once she started getting booked for several modeling and acting gigs, I noticed that many of these pro-photographers and talent scouts were complimenting my work and would ask who the “photographer” was that shot her portfolio. I then realized that maybe I had an eye for this, although I never referred to myself as a photographer.
Enrolling at Fullerton College and taking the photography courses all the way from beginning to the end was the best thing I did for myself in many ways. Not only did I end up creating a career path for my future, but I learned so much more than what I had expected.
Professors at the Fullerton College Photography Department give students hands on practice and real world experience that professional photographers encounter everyday in their work. The courses were challenging but the professors would help and guide the students, which made all the hard work really pay off.
I did not only graduate with a Professional Photography Certificate, but also earned my Associate Degree in Arts with honors. I now proudly work as a professional photographer and I am owner of Lens of Perception Photography.
I owe a big thanks to my professors for all their hard work and great knowledge they shared with their students. Thank you Fullerton College Photography Department.
